How to identify heatstroke and give correct first aid?
The heat wave is rolling in on a hot summer day. Whether you are working outdoors, traveling and hiking, or working out, the “invisible killer” of heat stroke is quietly approaching. You may think that you drink more water, wear a hat on the foolproof, but the reality may not be so simple.
Data show that every summer, hospitalized cases of heat stroke are common across the country, especially in the summer of frequent heat warnings, is the hardest hit. So how do you recognize heat stroke? What should we do if we encounter heatstroke? Today, let us read the heatstroke those things, to protect themselves, but also to protect their families.
1. There is more than one kind of heatstroke. Don't underestimate the "help signal" sent by the body.
When many people mention heatstroke, "dizziness", "sweating" and "vomiting" come to mind. But in fact, heatstroke is divided into multiple stages, and the symptoms are also very different. Missing the best time to deal with it may even endanger life.
1. Premonitory heat stroke
Symptoms: headache, dizziness, fatigue, nausea, lack of concentration, rapid heartbeat, flushed skin but no cold sweat.
At this time, the body has actually sounded the alarm, but many people mistakenly think that it is "too long in the sun" or "hungry" and continue to move, resulting in a more serious heat stroke step by step.
2. Mild heat stroke
Symptoms: increased body temperature (above 38℃), heavy sweating, flushed face, rapid pulse, muscle cramps, and may be accompanied by vomiting and confusion.
At this time, it is necessary to stop activities immediately and take emergency measures, otherwise it may develop into severe heat stroke.
3. Severe heat stroke (heat stroke)
Symptoms: body temperature quickly rises to above 40℃, confusion, coma, convulsions, dry and hot skin without sweat, and even shock.
This is the most dangerous stage, with a very high mortality rate. It must be sent to the doctor immediately, otherwise the consequences will be disastrous.

2. Who is more likely to get heat stroke? You may be on the "high-risk list"
Not everyone has the same probability of heat stroke. Some people are more likely to be "infected" due to their physical characteristics or environmental reasons.
Outdoor workers: sanitation workers, construction workers, takeaway riders, etc. work in high temperatures all year round and are the hardest hit by heat stroke.
Children and the elderly: The body temperature regulation center is not sensitive enough, they are prone to heat stroke and recover slowly.
Chronic disease patients: such as those with hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease, have poor adaptability to high temperature environments.
Excessive exercisers: Long-term running and cycling under the sun in summer are prone to dehydration and electrolyte disorders.
In addition, being in a hot and unventilated environment for a long time, such as a hot bus or a car without air conditioning, is also an invisible risk place for heat stroke.
3. How to deal with heat stroke correctly at critical moments? Teach you the "golden first aid method" in one minute
Identifying heat stroke is only the first step. The correct way to deal with it is the key to saving lives. The following is a set of "five-step emergency method for heat stroke" that is suitable for most people. Remember it and it can save lives at critical moments!
Step 1: Immediately get out of the high temperature environment
Move the patient to a cool, ventilated, air-conditioned room or at least a place with a fan, so that the body can start to cool down naturally.
Step 2: Undress and give priority to heat dissipation
Loosen or take off heavy clothes, wipe the body with a wet towel if necessary, or use an electric fan to help dissipate heat.
Step 3: Physical cooling and control body temperature
You can use a cold towel to apply to the forehead, armpits, neck, groin and other large blood vessel distribution areas, or you can rub alcohol on the limbs to help cool down (be careful to avoid large-area skin irritation).
Step 4: Rehydrate and replenish salt to restore physical strength
Let the patient sip slowly and slowly drink light salt water or electrolyte drinks (such as sports drinks), and never drink water too quickly to prevent vomiting.
Step 5: Send to the doctor immediately for severe cases, don't delay
If the patient is found to be in a state of continuous confusion, high fever, no sweating or even coma, call 120 immediately and send to the hospital, and accompany the patient during the cooling process.

4. "Amulet" to prevent heat stroke: Keep these points in mind and keep cool all summer!
"Heatstroke is not a big deal?" Wrong! A truly smart person never regrets after getting heatstroke. The key to preventing heatstroke is daily precautions:
Dress properly: Choose light-colored, loose, and breathable clothing. Sun hats and sun-proof clothing are essential.
Drink frequently: Don't wait until you are thirsty to drink water. It is recommended to drink 200-300ml of water every hour and replenish electrolytes in moderation.
Move smartly: It is best to avoid the "high temperature golden period" from 11:00 to 16:00 for outdoor activities. Mornings or evenings are more suitable.
Bring everything: Carry heatstroke prevention and cooling items with you, such as Huoxiang Zhengqi water, Fengyoujing, wet wipes, and mineral water.
Understand: Pay attention to weather warning information. When you see "high temperature orange/red warning", try to reduce going out or adjust your itinerary in time.
Conclusion: Don't let "heatstroke" defeat your enthusiasm in summer!
Summer can be "hot", but you don't have to pay the price of your health for it. Learning to identify the symptoms of heat stroke, mastering the correct first aid methods, and taking protective measures in life are your "defense shield" in high temperatures.
Don't let the heat wave overwhelm your body, and don't let negligence turn into regrets. In the hot summer, a piece of cool knowledge is your most practical portable "air conditioner".
Remember: heat stroke is not a trivial matter, one point of prevention is better than ten points of treatment!
