How to make soft and creamy pumpkin porridge

When the rice grains are cooked until they blossom and the pumpkin becomes soft, you can use a spoon to gently press the pumpkin pieces so that some of the pumpkin is incorporated into the porridge, creating a natural consistency.

At this point the porridge is nearly done, but don't rush to serve it after turning off the heat. Cover the pot and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes to allow the residual heat to continue to act to make the rice more expansive and the pumpkin flavor to penetrate further. This way a soft, sweet, delicate and smooth pumpkin porridge will be almost perfect.
